Easter 2006

Easter Sunday was so much fun! Well, actually it was bitter sweet. My loving husband gave me the most beautiful garnet ring for my birthday and I have had a lot of trouble with it. Sunday morning the church was very, very cold and I went to put on my sweater and my ring caught on my sweater and I looked down and there was no stone in my ring, only prongs. We looked everywhere, but never found the stone. More on this topic later. The rest of the day went over wonderfully. I had a beautiful new skirt and shirt to wear. Service was nice and then Matt and Pat and I went downstairs to help out the children's department. I was put teaching with Donna Atkins in the 3 year old class. We had 11 girls, and 1 boy that came in at the end. All the girls were so pretty and I taught them to twirl around and around and to make their skirts poof out. We then sat on the floor with our skirts spread out all around us like Belle in Beauty and the Beast. We also "made" an Easter lunch. This included peas, pizza, tea and such. We just had a blast. Matt was working in the toddlers and Pat in with the 1 year olds. Then after church Pat and Dwight came over and I already had the table set with an Eater bunny in all the plates. Matt had sweetly already purchased me an Easter basket and put it in my plate so there weren't any empty plates. Anyway, we had a honey glazed ham, asperagus, green beans, tea, deviled eggs and a salad. We had a wonderful time being together. What a wonderful way to celebrate time together with some of my family!

Taxes!!

I just got our taxes finished for 2005!! I am so very excited. I love getting paperwork finished and out of our hair. Matt and I started them last night on the computer, but ran into a glitch and had to finished them this morning by getting some questions answered by my dad. The exciting part is that the Federal and State forms are both printed out and ready to mail. I just have to take them home tonight and Matt and I have to sign them both and then mail them tomorrow! Hope everyone else has their taxes done already. It really does lift a great weight off when they are done. Okay well I'm off to eat lunch.

New Years Eve Party

New Years Eve 2005, Matt was on shift at the firehouse. Our Sunday School Class needed a place to have a celebration. Therefore if you combine the 2 you get a really good time! Our whole Sunday School Class went to the firehouse and spent the evening playing games and talking and getting to know each other better. Oh, also eating! I can't forget that! That is always the most important aspect of any get together. Annie supplied noise makers and hats and other necessary New Years Eve things. We had so much fun. I can't wait until next year!

24th Birthday

On my 24th Birthday, I had to work. I think it should be against the law to make someone go to work for their birthday, but regardless I was at work all day. When I got home I had 4 dozen roses in my bedroom! Matt had gone out and bought all the roses and then had Dwight help him bring them and set them up in my room. Matt even placed one on my pillows. How romantic was that?!? Anyway, my mom said it smelled like a funeral home in there, but I loved it. I dried most of the flower pedals and put them in the vase. Matt was so sweet. That is the most flowers that I have ever received in my life. They are also the largest flowers that I have ever received. The roses were huge!

More Pictures!

This is a picture of the livingroom. It has a great huge window that looks out to the front yard.

Nathan took this picture 4/7/06 when we got to go see their house for the first time. See how pretty the house is with the lights on!

This picture has the kitchen to the left and the dinningroom in the center and the steps to the left go down into the basement where there is a great workout room/playroom or whatever room. Then upstairs is the common bathroom, masterbedroom and 2 extra rooms.

Nathan & Annie's House

Yesterday evening Matt, Duke and I got to see Nathan and Annie's new house. They are closing on April 27th! Can you believe that Nathan is all grown up already. It seems like just yesterday that he was little Andy going back and forth from the Horse Barn, or playing with his little cars. I am so proud for them. Matt and I love their new house. They are so excited. You can just see the excitement rolling off of them as they walk around new house picturing where things will go. This is a really nice house with a fenced in back yard. There property goes pretty far back and goes a little bit on both sides of the house. There are hardwood floors through out. Their new address is 237 Bay Drive, Dawsonville, GA 30534 in Biscayne Subdivision.

New House!

Yesterday on the way home from work I was talking to my mom and she told me the most wonderful news! Nathan and Annie have a new house. God totally worked everything out for them to be able to move into a house instead of having to rent an apartment. The house needs some fixing up, but nothing they can't handle. I haven't seen it yet, but I can't tell you how happy I am for them!

Sunday Picnic

Matt and I went Sunday (4/2/06) and had a picnic with Kimberly, Aaron and my parents. We had the best time. I can't begin to tell you how excited we are for them.

Kimberly & Aaron

My sister Kimberly and her boyfriend Aaron just purchased one of the prettiest pieces of property. They are trying to decide on floor plans for a house and then they will get married next year sometime and move onto their new piece of property.

Nathan & Annie

My brother Nathan is getting married to a beautiful girl named Annie. They have been dating for many years now. Nathan proposed on Christmas and they have set their wedding date for July 28, 2006. We are so excited for them. Matt's mom, Pat and my mom, Manya and my sister Kimberly, we are planning the rehearsal dinner and I can't tell you how excited we are to plan that. I'll have more on that topic as the day gets closer.
